OIL&GAS

Floating structures

Moisture curing, one component polyurethane coatings (MCC) and coating systems are an ideal solution for floating and fixed structures, constantly exposed to extreme conditions in challenging environments. MCC can be applied in all weather conditions, which makes them perfect for repair and maintenance projects, as well as for new construction.

For the structures, exposed to high temperatures, it was developed a thermal series of MCC, which is in high demand by Oil&Gas industry. Our one-component moisture curing, heat resistant coatings are based on silicone organic compounds applied as a one- or multilayer thin-film coatings for steel and aluminum structures.

Pipelines

It was developed a series of protective coatings for pipelines based on polyurethane with 100% volume solid. Such coatings have proven to be the most excellent insulation coatings of known polymeric liquid anticorrosive compositions for protection of underground and underwater steel and reinforced concrete structures. Thick layer, solvent free polyurethane coatings meet the requirements of standards EN 10290, State Standard 51164 and can be applied for insulation of exterior surfaces of pipilenes, fittings and armature, immersed in fresh (Im-1, according to ISO 12944-2) or sea water (Im-2), as well as buried in soil (Im-3).

Coatings are excellent for application both in the plant- and in the field conditions, due to their curing properties. Ultra-fast curing during shop applications allows higher productivity due to shorter down-times. Fast curing in the field environments allows backfill after only a few hours post-application.

Storage tanks

Concrete structures

Protection systems significantly improve performance and durability of reinforced concrete surfaces of concrete structures and prolong their service life. Our selection includes systems, specifically developed for various areas of a concrete structure, such as splash and tidal zones, immersion zones (sea or fresh water and soils) as well as areas exposed to UV, carbonation, chloride penetration and frost.

High-performance moisture curing anti-corrosion systems, based on aromatic urethane polymers, can be combined with an aliphatic top coat with reinforced stabilizers and color-resistant pigments that create a strong weather-proof coating with excellent resistance to abrasion, erosion and UV. In addition, developed coatings contain special functional additives that create a film coating with high hydrophobic properties, thus achieving the effect of high- removal capability of improvised drawings (graffiti).

Steel structures

Selection of a suitable coating system for the protection of steel structures is usually determined by the following factors:

• corrosivity category (environment in which the structure is situated);
• durability of the coating system;
• type of the coated surface (new construction or maintenance);
• surface preparation;
• weather conditions during application (temperature, relative humidity and dew point);
• minimum and maximum recoating time;
• resistance to mechanical damage during transportation;
• cost efficiency, etc.

Welesgard exterior and interior corrosion protection systems are suitable for new constructions and for maintenance projects. Our coatings are designed to withstand the most corrosive environments (C5-M corrosivity category according to ISO 12944) and can be used for the protection of:

• steel plates and structural steel before assembly;
• assembled steel surfaces;
• high-strength bolted connection surfaces;
• flexible steel cables.

Welesgard moisture curing polyurethane coatings (MCC) provide long term (at least 25 years) protection and can be applied at high relative humidity (up to 99%) and low temperatures (down to -15°C) without any dew point restrictions. Our one-component materials eliminate potential mixing errors and set no limitation to the pot life. In addition, they have high impact- and abrasion-resistance. Steel structures coated with Welesgard MCC can be immersed in fresh or salt water within 30 minutes after application.

Our moisture curing coatings (MCC) are designed to withstand the most corrosive environments (C5-I corrosivity category according to ISO 12944) with a long-term performance (at least 25 years), but we also offer alkyd and acrylic products for the protection of steel structures in the C2 – C4 corrosivity categories.

For the industrial flooring and roofing we have a wide range of polyurea and polyurethane products.
